Big main idea : Bring a laptop.

I adviced to my friend, because he may go to Iowa next month. When he'll arrive in Iowa, he needs laptop.

First, it needs to work for school connection such as homework, information. If he has homework, he always checks web-site -'ICON', because sometimes teacher are upload today's homework by 'ICON'. However, if he doesn't have laptop, he can't check it right away. Also, some teachers use 'Microsoft word' program, but some laptop haven't this program. Then, when he bring the laptop, he set up this he program. Besides, he gets much information easily by laptop. When arrives in Iowa, he finds school dormitory information. At that time, he'll use his laptop, he finds this information to convenient. In addition, people concerned IIEP use 'ISIS' web-site. There are much information, especially, U-bill, health insurance money and some ID card money. He checks these, and pays for that.

Second, if he bring a laptop, it's very useful, because he can enjoy cultural life, and when he feels bored. Also, sometimes he can watch movies and listen to music, but he doesn't have laptop, he is always going to movie theater, or he doesn't enjoy that. Specially, watching movies and listening to music are helped to study English. Also, communication with Korean friends, family, or foreigner by using laptop. Moreover, when he feels very boring, he plays games, information retrieval, and reads news. When he has free time, he can find information retrieval such as English site, or English news by using laptop. Then, his English ability is upgrade.

In brief, Iowa has 4 seasons, but I think spring and fall are not special, they are just changeable weather. However, winter and summer are a little different. Sometimes, you have to watch that.

To begin with, maybe, winter is really cold to Asian and Arabic people, and many cars are covered with freeze ice in winter after it was raining or snowing. Many people have an ice scraper because it’s really useful when the cars are covered with ice. However, Iowa has good system of freeze road. You worry about get to fall down to freeze road. Moreover, Iowa has disasters such as hail and storm. Hail is falling an ice ─ not snow. Sometimes, it is a little bigger than normal size. It’s dangerous. At the moment, you should take an umbrella, or go to the indoor. Storm is dangerous more than hail. Iowa location doesn’t have High Mountain. Therefore, there are blowing a lot of strong wind. When storm come in Iowa City, you should go to a safe place such as underground or nearby church because storm is very powerful to destroy.


In addition, summer is hot and Iowa’s UV numerical value is so high. Therefore, people are getting sunburn. If you don’t want to get sunburn, you have to prepare a sun block and hat or cap. Moreover, Iowa’s sunshine is so brightness. You might need sunglasses for your eyes. And than, Iowa’s weather is really changeable. Sometimes, Iowa is raining. At that time, the weather is humid and you feel not good frequency. However, you’ll prepare a jacket for stay indoor. The reason is almost buildings are temperature controls too much cool. Iowa’s summer also has disaster that is tornado. Sometimes, you can hear the tornado warning. When you hear that, you should go to a safe place, too. Tornado is dangerous as storm. You must be careful after hear warning.
